Association of Fundraising Professionals - Greater Milwaukee Chapter
Fundraising is an essential discipline in the philanthropic process. Philanthropy -- voluntary action for the common good -- is a necessary element of civic betterment and those activities which meet societal needs.

Donor's Forum of Wisconsin
The Donors Forum offers periodic workshops for grantseekers on the Common Grant Application and successful proposal writing, developing and maintaining relationships with grantors, and finding and using effective research tools. The Forum also hosts a philanthropic database tracking grant activity statewide.

Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management (HBI), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Course being offered in the MBA Concentration in Nonprofit Management and scheduled to be offered in the proposed Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.

Marquette University Raynor Library Funding Information Center
The Funding Information Center provides orientation sessions twice a month to acquaint users with the multiple resources on private foundations, fundraising, and letter and proposal writing located in the Center.

Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee
The Center offers extensive fund development and grant writing workshops, and has a development consultant available to consult in all areas from running a capital campaign to creating an endowment. The Center's executive director and development specialist are members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP); the Center also co-sponsors the AFP Annual Fundraising Intensive.

Nonprofit Management Fund
The Fund's grants help increase and diversify a nonprofit organization's revenue and support. An ongoing interest in earned income sources and the role of the Board leadership is included.

Fundraising, an essential skill for nonprofit managers is at the heart of what charitable organizations do. This workshop offered in the Professional Certificate in Nonprofit Management reviews these methods and correlates the techniques to appropriate situations.
