Better Business Bureau
The Better Business Bureau conducts extensive investigational research in the areas of charitable solicitations, consumer/business relationships, and advertising issues.

Donor's Forum of Wisconsin
The Donors Forum conducts monthly metings for members and their guests on the state of nonprofit activity in greater Milwaukee, the State and the region. The Forum hosts specific topic roundtables, which are member-generated. It also conducts research on Wisconsin's Charitable Giving and hosts a statewide conference on philanthropy. The Forum plays a key role in connecting Wisconsin to regional and national philanthropic initiatives.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC)
LISC is currently working with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to examine regional economic and racial housing patterns.

Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee
The Data Center program maintains a Clearinghouse of community data. Indicators drawn from population, housing, crime, program and other files follow tracking trends in detail across Milwaukee neighborhoods. In 1999, working through the Greater Milwaukee Nonprofit Agenda Network the Center facilitated the first phase of "Taking Stock of the Nonprofit Sector," which included a survey that looked at perceptions of the sector from the inside out. The Public Policy Forum was hired to compile and analyze the data from over 200 nonprofit executives.

United Way of Greater Milwaukee
United Way sponsors several public events per year on various topics pertaining to current trends or local research in health and human services field.
