The Center supports and enhances the leadership of individuals who feel a genuine need to positively affect their communities--whether they serve in the educational, political, charitable or corporate sectors.
Unlike some fields of study, the key to becoming a successful leader involves more than skill development. The Center views leadership development as a transformational process--a change and evolution that happens within each individual.
The philosophy and culture of Leadership Center activities embrace relevant and competent service to diverse groups. In providing such service, the culture of the Center strives to model an orientation to moral purpose and ethical ehaviors, compassion and caring, assessment and accountability and responsiveness to specific contexts and needs.
Providing services in:
Leadership Development (The Center utilizes non-traditional, customizable programs designed to develop and support leadership capacity. Offerings include workshops, leadership pathway programs, retreats, a speaker series, licensure, consulting and an annual Conference on Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service.
Recently, the Center launched the Latino Nonprofit Leadership Program in collaboration with the Roberto Hernandez Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. )
