Mission: Improving the leadership and effectiveness of nonprofit organizations through education, research, and service.

HBI is a comprehensive academic center working in partnership with Milwaukee-area foundations and other nonprofit organizations and focusing on nonprofit management and leadership, nonprofit organizations, the nonprofit sector and philanthropy.

Providing services in:

Advocacy (Under development for future course offering. This course will provide an intensive overview of current advocacy strategies used by nonprofit leaders and managers to advance their organizations' missions and inform public policies and attitudes.)

Governance (Scheduled to be offered in the Spring Semester 2003 as part of the MBA Concentration in Nonprofit Management and the proposed Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.)

Finance (Course being offered in the MBA and MPA concentrations in Nonprofit Management and Leadership and scheduled to be offered in the proposed Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.)

Fundraising (Course being offered in the MBA Concentration in Nonprofit Management and scheduled to be offered in the proposed Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.)

Human Resources (Course being offered in the MBA Concentration in Nonprofit Management and scheduled to be offered in the proposed Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.)

Leadership Development (Scheduled to be offered as part of the MBA Concentration in Nonprofit Management and the proposed Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.)
